Our students in the elementary level participated in the Kanguro Olympics obtaining excellent results. In the Escolar Category, the First Place was for Thomas Trepowski and Gabriel Trapani, the Second Place for Federico Vera y Aragón and Mauricio Salas, and the Third Place was obtained by Nicolás Hernández and Nando Tagliari. In the Benjamin Category, Alessandro Farina and Fernando Nicora won the First Place, followed by Micaela González and Tiziana Cálcena in the Second Place, and Cecilia Romero and Keyla Yakisich in the Third Place.

During one of the Robotics Workshop classes, participating students had the opportunity to see a 3D printer in operation. In addition, they learned about the usefulness of this new device that has been firmly inserted in the technology market and were also able to learn about ways that they are classified, the materials they use, objects that can be created with them and the infinite a number of applications they have in many areas of daily life.

Yesterday the “ SIL Business Administration Forum”, Called “Paraguay Hand-in-Hand”, Initiatives in favor of society”, took place in the auditorium of the Spanish Cultural Center Juan de Salazar.
The pedagogical encounter consisted of presentations by invited professionals from Operation Smile, Guyrá Paraguay, WWF, The Paraguayan Foundation and A Roof for Paraguay, with the objective of inspiring the young people of the Business major with a pertinent and updated vision of topics related to the area of the NGOs and foundations which promote social causes, fortifying leadership and proactive entrepreneurism.

Within the framework of the Educational Project “Sports and Business: A winning fusion”, the Intercolegial SIL Fanta Puma 2015 was inaugurated during a press conference. The event will be held on the 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th and 26th of April, in the sport facilities of San Ignacio de Loyola School and will count on the participation of more than 20 schools of the capital.

Our teachers at all levels, also proudly received their Cambridge certifications of Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT). SIL encourages teachers to become internationally certified by means of an exam of knowledge and skills in didactic methods for teaching English language at different educational levels.

With great joy our students in 7th Grades and 1st Courses also received respectively their Key English Test (KET) and Preliminary English Test (PET) diplomas from the University of Cambridge. At SIL we know about the importance of bilingual education, and this is the reason why this cornerstone of our education is strengthened by renowned international exams. Let us all together stimulate learning languages!

Our students of the 3rd courses are already thinking about the colleges and careers that they will select for their college studies and here at SIL we are committed to help them make this important decision. For this reason, our students participated in two talks with foreign universities, the Broward College from the US that has an agreement with the USIL of Paraguay, and the IE University of Spain.
These are just some of the top international and national visits that our students will receive during the year and we hope to help them in choosing their future endeavors.
