Commemorating "80 Years of Peace of Chaco" members of the AHSIL conducted a discussion panel entitled "The Chaco War in the eyes of young people", in the framework of the XXI Asuncion Book Fair 2015, organized by the CAPEL (Paraguayan Chamber of Books), in the Shopping Mariscal Lopez Convention Center, Thursday June 11.

The panel was led by Ma. Anahi Soto Vera and academics presented part of their research, and then answered questions from the audience.

Academic Gonzalo Irun presented a summary of his research on “Tactics of the Chaco War”; Paula Sesto contextualized the conflict, taking into account the previous decade and causes; Leticia Quiñonez shared her reflections on “Participation of women in the Chaco War”; Sol Quiroz related the life of a soldier with the title “The Chaco War in the eyes of Mita’i”; Baruc Lombardo spoke about the end of the war and the peace treaty. To finish the presentation, a video prepared by the student Kevin March was projected.
