Presentation of the Intercolegial SIL Coca Cola 2019

Today the Intercolegial SIL Coca Cola 2019 was presented, during a press conference. The sports event will take place on the 26th, 27th and 28th of April, as well as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of May, in the school´s sport facilities. There will be 32 schools participating in this activity. We hope all the SIL families can participate in this great event!

THE BATAN EXPERIENCE!

Elected members of the 2019 CESIL take office

The students elected by their peers as their representatives for the 2019 SIL Student Body (CESIL) are: President: Nelson Ferreria; Vice-President: Paula Martínez; Secretary: María Eugenia Aldama; Treasurer: María Paz Mercado, and Representative for the Third Cycle: Ignacio Talavera. CESIL is a space created for participation and dialogue, where students have the duty of promoting and strengthening principles such as fellowship, understanding, and cooperation, by organizing different events that bring together and unite members of the school community. We wish the 2019 CESIL a year of success!

Visit to Congress

As part of their PARLASIL Project, the ninth grade students visited the National Congress, where they were greeted by representatives of the Public Relations Department of ​​the Chamber, who guided the students' visit and explained the functions of the Legislative Branch. They participated in a Session of the Senate where they witnessed the honouring of Julia Maciel González, the first woman elected as Vice President of the United Nation´s Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Issues, in addition to visiting the Library and Archives of the National Congress of Paraguay. This experience allows students to understand the role of senators and representatives and its importance in the decision making process, vital to our country´s well-being.

Visit from the IE University

Our senior students are already thinking about the universities and careers they will select to carry out their university studies and in the SIL we are committed to help them make this important decision. For this reason, our students received representatives from the IE University of Spain and the Exa SIL Matias Friedmann, who shared his experience as a former student of this university.
