Visit to Congress

As part of their PARLASIL Project, the ninth grade students visited the National Congress, where they were greeted by representatives of the Public Relations Department of ​​the Chamber, who guided the students' visit and explained the functions of the Legislative Branch. They participated in a Session of the Senate where they witnessed the honouring of Julia Maciel González, the first woman elected as Vice President of the United Nation´s Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Issues, in addition to visiting the Library and Archives of the National Congress of Paraguay. This experience allows students to understand the role of senators and representatives and its importance in the decision making process, vital to our country´s well-being.
