In the framework of the Educational Project "Sport and Business: A Winning Fusion", the SIL Tournament Coca Cola Barcos & Rodados 2017 was launched, through a press conference. The event will be held on 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th of April, at the San Ignacio de Loyola School sports facilities and will be attended by more than 32 schools in the capital.
The Department of Physical Education, with the support of the Technical Baccalaureate in Business Administration (BATAN) and the Technical Baccalaureate in Informatics (BATIN), grant to the students of the 3rd. Courses all the tools to carry out this enterprise, whose objective is to promote a healthy, sporting and competitive lifestyle, promoting the sport in different modalities: Field Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball, male and female, as well as the Female and Futsal FIFA men, among others, as well as the ideal space to implement the learning acquired in the different subjects of BATAN: Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Accounting and Cabinet Management and BATIN subjects: Computer Science, Financial Administration and Economics And management; Components that materialize the winning fusion of the schoool that has its students as organizers.
The General Coordinator is the student Silvia Espiau; Sofía Cáceres is the General Secretary, Fiorella Pomata as Marketing Manager and María Paz Oviedo as Communication Team Manager.
We hope to have the participation of all the SIL Family in this great event!

Not even the weather changes stopped our Elementary students who were very glad in the special activity related tot Palm Sunday. This special day conmemorate Jesus´s arrival to Jerusalem. During this activity all the First Communion students were dressed with tunics and they walked with Jesus who was riding a donkey. Students were glad to sing, pray and welcome Jesus with their Palms.

With great joy our students in 7th Grades received their Key English Test (KET) diplomas from the University of Cambridge. At SIL we know about the importance of bilingual education, and this is the reason why this cornerstone of our education is strengthened by renowned international exams. On March 23rd, our Fourth Grade students attended a concert organized by the Symphonic Orchestra of the National Congress called "Music and Children" which took place in the library building of the National Congress.
The students enjoyed the musical tale "Peter and the Wolf", written by Sergei Prokofiev, who managed to relate each character of the story with the most appropriate sound of some of the instruments of the orchestra.

After achieving an excellent performance in their English proficiency exams, our Fourth Grade students received their Young Learners English - Movers Level Certificates from the University of Cambridge. Congratulations to all of them and let´s continue to support our children in the acquisition of this important language!
The International ESOL Examinations of the University of Cambridge assess the knowledge of English in non-native students, taking into account the four linguistic skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. They are applied in our school by University Cambridge professionals at the end of each academic cycle.

Due to our first general assembly and following the tradition, our 1º grade students received a beautiful San Ignacio de Loyola medal. This welcoming symbol was given by the Senior students and proclaims on them a great academic life. It was a very important moment!!!
