SIL Emprende 2016

In order that the SIL student should be able to design and to manage a small business of creative product transformation and elaboration, that favors leadership and entrepreneurship, is the objective of the Educational Project SIL EMPRENDE in 3rd Cycle. For that reason, three small businesses were launched: “Fragments” of the 7th Grade, who prepared trays and mirrors in Mosaics, “Woody´s Inc.” of the 8th grade, who made tables from recycled reels and “Ink Pressure” of the 9th Grade, who made tee-shirts, pillow covers, stickers, personalized beach bags. Once the launching was finalized, the sale was held and everything was a success. Congratulations to our industralists, great leaders of tomorrow! Today small entrepreneurs, tomorrow great leaders!

SILMUN 2016

In the tenth edition of the Educational Project SILMUN 2016, the students of the 1st and 2nd Courses of Educacion Media, assumed the role of Delegates of the member countries of the UN, that debated on the necessity of: “To reduce the inequality in and between countries”. To enhance the project, they invited delegations from Lumen School, CEPB, San Jose and Santa Clara. For the professors of the SILMUN, it is a great satisfaction to accompany young leaders and who are committed to the educational projects. Congratulations to each one of them!

MUSICAL 2016

As is now customary, our incredible actors and actresses of the 1st and 2nd Cycle of the EEB, delighted us with much awaited musical “A Beauty Tale”. Thank you very much to all for your attendance for the accomplishment of the musical comedy; all of the funds collected will be destined to the Rocio Cabriza Home for aid to children with leukemia.

Citizen in Action: Council Meeting

Students in grades 4th, 5th and 6th participated in the CITIZENS IN ACTION Project that promotes effective participation in civic life exercising the rights and obligations of citizenship at local levels. Students are able to access information efficiently and effectively, evaluating information critically and competently and using information accurately and creatively for the problem at hand. Some activities developed during the project include: a visit to the Municipality of Asunción to observe a City Council Meeting, election of Mayor and City Council members, and a Mock City Council Meeting in which students were able to present a variety of community issues which were debated during the meeting with great enthusiasm.
