Reinauguration of the Sun Clock

With great pride and joy, members of the SIL Astronomy Club (Astro SIL), participated in the reinauguration of the School´s Sun Clock. Placed in the school grounds for the first time in 2002, it was then removed due to a failure, and now it is back to give us the exact time with its shadows and to create interest and to surprise the entire educational community who come to observe it.

We would like to give special thanks to the SIL Parent´s Association for making this dream come true, to Mr. Blas Servín for helping construct and place the Sun Clock in the school grounds again, and finally to Mr. Alberto Martínez and his family for their support.

Activities like the ones carried out by Astro SIL allow our students to develop their interests and to apply what they have learned about the universe and its secrets, while strengthening one of our founding pillars, Technical and Scientific Education.
