Science research projects

Our students in Grades 7th through 11th presented their Science research projects before an examination board composed of tutors and external professionals.

39 sub projects were developed by Grades 7th, 8th, and 9th, under the guidance of their Science teacher, Ms. Susana Ismael. Topics presented included: “Ecological Organic Components from Paint. Non-Toxic Methods & Solutions”, “Bee Propolis as Potential Bioindicators of Heavy Metal Contamination”, and “Rabbit Housing, Diet, Environment, and Handling”.

The 10th Grade presented a research on Floriculture: Factors Affecting Germination. They were tutored by Ms. Silvia De Oliveira.

The 11th Graders in the BATIN program researched on Bio-construction under the guidance of Ms. Deibys Bogarin, and the 11th Graders in the BATAN program investigated on Bio-plastics under the supervision of Ms. Lilian Verón. Hence, the representatives of the SIL International Fair for CIENCAP were selected.

The development of this research, through the scientific method, greatly strengthens three SIL pillars: The Scientific-Technical Education; Education for Leadership and Entrepreneurship, and Bilingual Education.

We congratulate all our students for their hard work!
