Distinction of the United Nations

The United Nations in Paraguay, distinguished SIL students who excelled during the development of Model SILMUN in several categories.

Best Position Paper: Valeria Insfrán and Leticia Quinonez, delegates from Saudi Arabia.

Best Delegation: Amir Niz and Diego Barrachina, delegates from Finland.

Best SILMUN Delegate: Nazarene Fernández, delegate from North Korea.

Also, all members of the Board received honors: Eduardo Arbo, Belén Vega, Alejandro Maciel and Alejandra Aguilar; the responsibles for Protocol and Ceremonial: Jun Galeano and Madeleine Caje; and 9th Grade Ushers: Giuliano Sacco, Fiorella Pomata and Silvia Espiau, whom for their outstanding contribution in the PARLASIL, were invited to participate in the SILMUN 2014.

Models and Simulations of the United Nations are exercises to complement teaching. The SILMUN, and other activities, greatly strengthens one of the fundamental pillars of SIL, Education in Leadership and Entrepreneurship.
