Citizen in Action 2015

This week, our Sixth Grade students went to the Municipalidad de Asunción to observe a City Council meeting as part of the “Citizens in Action (CIA)” Project. This educational activity was developed by San Ignacio de Loyola School for students in grades 4th, 5th, and 6th, in which a Mock City Council Meeting is presented.

The objectives are: to participate effectively in civic life through knowing how to stay informed and understand governmental processes, exercise the rights and obligations of citizenship at local levels, to understands the local and global implications of civic decisions, and to access information efficiently and effectively, evaluating information critically and competently and using information accurately and creatively for the problem at hand.

The students will apply this experience in the development of the CIA project which is presented in English since 2012.
