CIENCAP 2019

We congratulate all of our students who represented us at the International Science and Technology Fair CIENCAP, with very original and creative projects. This year, three very interesting projects were presented, all of which won Gold Medals. Congratulations to the students and their tutors. The SIL family is very proud of their achievements! LUNISOLAR SPHERE: The main objective of this project was to design and build a lunisolar sphere capable of harnessing sunlight, storing the energy obtained, and displaying data through a web page. This sphere is capable of concentrating sunlight and diffusing light from the Moon into a constant source of energy to generate clean energy and to offer, as an alternative, an environment-friendly renewable source. “Puku New Business Units” project: The objective of the Project was to develop a sustainable Business Plan, which improves the competitiveness and productivity of a group of women that make up the PUKU organization. This organization is made up of 25 women from the Itapukumi community, located between the cities of Concepción and Puerto Pinazco, 700 kms from the country's Capital. SUBLIFE: The main objective of this project was to design and build a scale submarine prototype, with an ellipsoidal shape and equipped with sensors, used to measure temperature and PH levels in static masses of contaminated water, and to store the results in a data base. The aforementioned factors affect the proliferation of algae, hence the importance of accessing this information.
