AN ENTERPRISING PROJECT WITH A NEW METHODOLOGY  

In 1993 San Ignacio de Loyola School, opened its doors with the launching of the COMPUTER SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM which was rapidly filled by students who were motivated by the new program, a program that would give them the command of computer science, almost unknown in Paraguay at that time.
During the same year, we also created the BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION HIGH SCHOOL and it was then decided to acquire  new and bigger facilities to start the project of a school that could include all the levels of teaching.
In the year 1994, the facilities on Venezuela Avenue opened, with children signed up for Elementary Level, all the years of Elementary school (1st to 9th) and the already mentioned High Schools Programs; Computer Science and Business Administration.
The main innovation was the inclusion of Computer Science to the learning process through general application software such as the word processor, electronic spreadsheet, graphic and data software, apart from the use of Educational Software for each level, grade or course  in the areas of  Mathematics, Language, Natural Sciences, English, Chemistry and Physics turning learning into a modern and fascinating experience.
Since 2000, SIL has incorporated the Bilingual Program, with the teaching of Subjects in English, in the areas of Natural Science, Health and Social Studies, besides the teaching of Language and Arts as well as Oral and Written communication skills.  Harcourt International Publishers provides texts, workbooks and a variety of didactic material besides its permanent methodological support.
In the year 2005 the Scientific High School Programs in the Social Science and Technology areas were launched. That same year, we opened Kinder 2 for two year-old children, completing this way the SIL family with the little ones.
In the year 2008 we reached our 15 years anniversary with the greatest satisfaction of having contributed to true change in Education and with the commitment to continuous growth with a serious and always updated educational offer.
Our motto:  “Enterprising children today, great leaders tomorrow” summarizes our objective of educating people who are fully prepared, with initiative and drive to guide their lives and the future of Paraguay within a global world’s frame.
